I cannot give her

All that I dreamed

A life full of happiness

Impossible it seemed

Life with no sunshine

If I kept her with me

A road with no future

Less one without me

Little by little

Each day I can see

Something is missing

She looks so incomplete

I'll never forget

The smile on her face

The day that I gave her

To another to raise

It came from inside her

Deep down in her heart

She was letting me know

That I was doing my part

She calls someone else Mommy

She's happy I know

We all have to reap

Whatever we sow

I know that it's strange

For others to see

That I loved her enough

To give her a future without me.

A Future Without Me was written about my adoption, in what I felt through my mother's eyes. Through my adoption, I learned one of the most important lessons of my life, Acceptance and Love.
God has truly Blessed me and still continues to today,
so long as I keep His Will first in all things.
