God bless the corners of this house

And be the lintel blest;

And bless the hearth and bless the board

And bless each place of rest;

And bless each door that opens wide

To stranger as to kin;

And bless each crystal window pane

That lets the starlight in;

And bless the rooftree overhead

And every sturdy wall:

The peace of man, the peace of God

The peace of love on all.

Lord, make this home a happy place

Aglow with warmth and cheer

A friendly place so everyone feels

Truly welcome here

A peaceful and contented place

That's filled with trust and love

Lord, make this home a happy place

And bless it from above.

Lord, make the door of this house wide enoughto receive all who need love,
narrow enough to shut out all who would breed hate;
make the threshold smooth enough to be no stumbling block to children,
rugged enough to turn back evil.
Lord, make the door of this house the gateway to your love.

Through this gate shall not pass trouble

In this dwelling shall not come suffering

Through this door shall not pass fear

In this quarter shall not come quarreling

In this place there shall be blessing and peace
