Rest now, my weary soldier, for I will carry your cross.

I will give to you a deep refreshing, no matter what the cost.

I come, My child, to hold you close and give to you relief,

for I came to you through Calvary's road; I know your deepest grief.

Now sit down here at My feet, rest your head upon My knee,

feel My hand upon your troubled brow, and just believe in Me.

For I have the strength and power to carry your cross for you.

I came by way of Calvary's road, and I'll carry you on through.

I'll calm the troubled waters; I'll stop the sandy storms that blow.

I'll give you power to overcome the enemies that come and go.

I'll take away the tempter, and send angels to help you,

for I came by way of Calvary's road, and I will rescue you.

Walk quickly through the battle field,

while I protect you with armored gear.

Stand still when I command you to, and do not show your fear.

Though battles rage around you, and frustration seems to increase,

remember I came by way of Calvary's road, and I will bring you peace.

So rest now, My weary soldier. Refresh your body and your soul.

And when you awaken in the morning, keep focused on My goal.

For I will walk beside you, and I will drink your bitter cup

I have come to you through Calvary's road, and I can lift you up!
