Dear Heavenly
Father,
We come to You
in the mighty Name of Jesus, thanking You and
praising You for our great nation, which was
founded on Your principles.
We ask You to give
our leaders wisdom to make decisions that will
strengthen and prosper our nation. We pray that
You would cause them to be motivated by Your
Word, not by partisan or personal concerns.
We pray that You
would help the leaders of our government in
this time of crisis. Give them understanding,
divine direction, and the courage to do that
which is right in Your sight. May they follow
Your will to direct our nation in the paths
of peace and safety.
In the Name of
Jesus, we lift up our military to You, for safety,
encouragement, protection, guidance, and comfort.
Heal their wounds, both physically and spiritually.
War and conflict is hard and especially on those
who are in the front lines. Be with them always
and cause them to be aware of Your presence,
giving them courage, wisdom, and peace as they
stand against terrorism and carry out the duty
they are sworn to, regardless of political differences,
even within our own nation. They are our American
heroes. We honor them with our prayers to You,
in their behalf. Bless them all!
Thank You, Our
Father, God, for Your Gift of Salvation, bought
and paid for by our blessed Savior, Jesus, who
died for our freedom and eternal life. This
is the greatest blessing and may we never forget!
May we always remember to praise You and give
honor to You!
We pray for the
peace of Israel as You commanded. We acknowledge
that You have the fate of this world in Your
Hands. Help us in this great nation, to repent
and draw near to You so we may be forgiven and
healed in our land. AMEN

Remember that
God is our only sure trust.
Mary
Washington (George Washington's Mother)
While we give
praise to God, the supreme disposer of all events,
for His interposition on our behalf, let us
guard against the dangerous error of trusting
in, or boasting of, an arm of flesh .... If
your case is just, if your principles are pure,
and if your conduct is prudent, you need not
fear the multitude of opposing hosts.
John
Witherspoon, a signer of the Declaration of
Independence
There are a good
many problems before the American people today,
and before me as President, but I expect to
find the solution to those problems just in
the proportion that I am faithful in the study
of the Word of God.
Woodrow
Wilson, 28th U.S. President
America was founded
by people who believe(d) that God was their
rock of safety. I recognize we must be cautious
in claiming that God is on our side, but I think
it's all right to keep asking if we're on His
side.
Ronald
Reagan, 40th U.S. President

Give us clear
vision that we may know where to stand and what
to stand for - because unless we stand for something,
we shall fall for anything.
Peter
Marshall, U.S. Religious Leader
Renewing our
knowledge of and faith in God through Holy Scripture
can strengthen us as a nation and a people.
The Year of the
Bible was declared in 1983 by a joint resolution
of the House and Senate.
