I
see their faces--brave and strong
And
see their eyes that know
That
their country needs them now
And
soon they'll have to go
The
sadness in a young wife's eyes
The
tears she tries to hide
A
little boy with questions now
Last
night his "daddy cried"
The
silent looks that say so much
The
hands that squeeze so tight
That
choking feeling in each heart
They
won't be home --tonight
Oh
yes, they're trained - and are prepared
And
proudly they will go
Determined
faces - for all to see.
Yet
fear, they'd never show
THEY--are
our youth and future
Some
mothers girl - or boy.
They'll
fight for all the things they love
And
for freedoms sake - destroy!
But
life is fragile - THIS Is WAR
Their
future's in GOD'S hands
"GOD
keep them safe, and bring them home"

God's Loving
Hand
Shadows of grief will
now haunt me
Young lives are gone
from this world
Lost in a desert of
foggy sand
By a grenade hatefully
hurled
Bodies so brave and
so eager
Will fall damaged and
cold in the sand
For them there is no
tomorrow
No future - no dream
- that they planned
The numbers will grow
, I am certain
Though I pray that
soon this will end
As courage and plan
work together
And honor - they fight
to defend
Sights and sounds are
now stealing
The glimmer of youth
in young eyes
As bullets and missiles
go raining
Destruction - and pain
- from the skies
God help them, defend
them, prepare them
Deliver them and this
land
Shield and protect
and give courage
In mercy, and by Your
loving hand.
