by Dorothea Barwick

Another year is beginning, all fresh and bright and new,

that God has graciously given to be used by me and you.

But the problems of the old year are clinging on, alas!

It seems that no matter what we do, we can't escape the past.

Wars and rumors of war, and tragedies surround us each day,

while Christianity in our nation seems to be fading away

Oh Christians, gather together, uphold our nation in prayer!

Pray for our elected officials to make wise decisions this year.

Pray for more Christian leaders to step out and take a stand.

Pray that Revival will break out and spread over all our land.

Pray for your Church and your Pastor, and for your Family too.

Pray that this year we'll be willing to do what God wants us to do.

Pray for more courage and boldness to spread the Gospel's truth.

Pray that we'll reach the elderly, the middle-aged and the youth.

Jesus is ready to come back to rapture His bride away.

Be ready, be watching, be faithful...He could come back any day!

Tell A Friend!

Oh Lord, Thou hast told us how to pray.
Help us to shut the door, shutting out the world,
and the enemy, and any fear or doubt which spoils prayer.
May there be no distance between our souls and Thee.
