I asked the team
leader of the prayer group I'm a
part of to write this introduction
to the true story you're about to
read.
'Mother Marj'
as she is affectionately called
by many, took Mark and his family
under her wing with prayer and moral
support. Please read how our relationship
with Mark and other soldiers in
his group began before reading his
story. I thank God for Mark and
all those like him who are defending
our freedom.

Introduction
by Marjorie Castleberry
As Mark searched
the internet for sites with inspirational
writings concerning soldiers and
service to the country, he found
Genelle's site and wrote to her.
I believe that it was God's divine
timing that caused Mark to find
her pages.
Genelle answered
his e-mail and told me about him.
I felt a definite and immediate
call to see that he was contacted.
I knew that Genelle would be unable
to keep up an ongoing correspondence
with as much work as she has with
the site and her music. When she
told me about Mark, I asked her
to write to him to ask permission
to pass his e-mail address on to
me. I am certain that the Lord called
me to do that, for it happened at
a time when Mark needed much prayer.
I have been blessed
to get to know Mark and his wife
Renee. I have prayed with him and
for him from that time. It has been
an honor and a great gift to me
to have the opportunity to help
with prayers and words of encouragement.
God answered many, many prayers
for Mark and his group as I passed
requests for him and the soldiers
there on to the Evergreen Prayer
Team, a group of my friends and
co-workers.
I praise the Lord
for watching over them and sparing
the lives of all 120 men - it was
a miracle to have everyone come
home alive. Mark is a very, very
special Christian young man and
a splendid servant of the Lord.
I will always pray for him and for
all soldiers wherever they might
be. I thank the Lord for allowing
me to know such a fine young man.
We have adopted him as a member
of our family. May the Lord go with
him and guide him along his path
in life. Thank you Mark, for all
you did for us and for our country.
