I PLEDGE ALLEGIENCE TO THE FLAG

OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS

ONE NATION UNDER GOD

INDIVISBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL

FLAG DAY is June 14.

This page is in honor of our FLAG and all it stands for!

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.

They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.

It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

No word of God must reach this crowd

It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen

Stars and Stripes

When I see that great flag of the United States of America
I see more than just a flag ...

I'm reminded of our SAVIOR and His great Plan of Eternity for us.

The STARS remind me of the vast universe, which HE
spoke into existence through HIS divine power.

The BLUE BACKGROUND behind the stars puts me in mind of
HIS Promise of Heaven that awaits all those who believe in HIM.

The RED STRIPES tell me of the stripes HE endured
on HIS back to pay for my sins, and of the Precious
Blood HE shed for an undeserving wretch like me.

The WHITE STRIPES symbolize to me His perfect Innocence
and the white burial cloth HE left behind on that third day when
HE arose from the tomb that could not hold HIM, fulfilling HIS
Promise that death could have no hold over us! I find my eyes
going back to the corner of our flag, and I see that Promised Land,
BEYOND THE STARRY SKY!

So, when I see that great flag, OLD GLORY, I see more than our
flag and its history - I see HIS STORY and our Father's glorious
Promise of SALVATION to ALL WHO WILL BELIEVE IN HIS
SON, OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST!

AND GOD BLESS AMERICA I PRAY!
