A Note from Genelle:

I know that the tragic events of 9/11 are long behind us and we're now attempting to help to bring peace where we can, and to prevent an act of terrorism like that from happening again, and there have been many tributes on the internet to the memory of those courageous and brave souls and the lost ones of 9/11, and indeed, the lost ones during the Iraqi War, and ALL of our heroes in our military, but I felt compelled to do this page. The painting touched my heart so, and I wanted to share it, along with the artist's message as an encouragement and remembrance for the monumental task that we, as a peace loving nation now face. We must not forget 9/11 and we must keep our guard against the evil that perpetrated such a horrific attack on our country.

will Rise with Healing in His Wings

A WORD FROM THE ARTIST:

Shortly after September 11, 2001 I was inspired to paint this painting entitled '9 -11 The Call.' I hope those who view the painting will be encouraged to hold onto their God given faith to bring them through every trial

The Message:

THE REVERSED FLAG:

This vision was painted from a bird's eye view looking downward from the heavens. From this paradigm the eagle is flying with the flag opposite from how it is normally portrayed with its stars on the left and stripes on the right. However, the people watching the eagle from any of the sites in the painting would be viewing the flag as it is traditionally seen with its stars on the left and stripes on the right.

BELOW THE FLAG:

Below the scenes are the words. "UNITED WE STAND, IN GOD WE TRUST. THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL RISE WITH HEALING IN HIS WINGS." I believe it is God's heart to bring healing to those who lost loved ones on 9 -11- 01.

ABOVE THE FLAG:

Emerging from the sunburst the image of a dove can be seen. This symbol of God's Holy Spirit represents the presence of God in the midst of trial. Many of the stories told by survivors of the attack on 9 -11 have testified of God's divine guidance on that day.

THE EAGLE:

In this painting the eagle has taken flight with the flag in his talons. He is determined to take it across the nation as a call to return back to the foundation of our founding fathers.

THE THREE SITES:

From right to left, New York City, the field in Pennsylvania and Pentagon on the far left.

THE BADGES:

Painted in honor of the New York Fire Department and the New York Police Department and in respect for those who gave their lives to saving others. Thank you. "Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted". Jesus Christ

I believe the following scripture to be true of the vision the Lord has birthed in me:

"And I fell at His feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy"
(Rev. 19:10)

My paintings are a result of the revelation of Jesus Christ by God's Holy Spirit. As I am shown a vision, I paint what I have seen. Most times, I do not begin painting immediately. Instead, I seek the Lord first for the interpretation of the vision. The meaning is then confirmed in the scriptures as the Lord leads me to them. Once established, I write the message down. Some paintings are the result of several visions and/or dreams. While exhibiting the paintings, I have been asked many times if they are for sale. They are not for sale. I feel more like a caretaker of the Lord's vision than a painter. Since each one of the paintings is a portion of a larger revelation, I believe that they need to stay together. My desire is that as you see and study the paintings, God's Spirit begins to speak to your heart about the awesomeness of His plan of reconciliation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
