While others are out buying,

And making special plans.

I think of daddy - gone so long

And picture his sweet hands

Hands that worked so very hard

Protected me from harm

Held me close in blanket hugs

Now memories keep me warm

Hands that held me when I cried

For words were not his way

He showed with smiles and loving touch

The love he felt each day

His hand was one I held to

When fear and doubt were mine

Its reassurance without words

Said I would be just fine

I miss him every day and way.

I know GOD understands

HE gave me love through Daddy

And the memory of his hands

What I'd give to have him here

To share once more - my plans

And know the love he gave to me

And feel his precious hands

He's not here for my gift - but he knows I remember!

Marie, our dear sweet sister, has gone on to be with the Lord. She's reuinited with her Dad and her Heavenly Father. This and other pages that contain Marie's writing are a reminder of how she touched lives while she was here on earth, and her inspirations are still touching others. She gave me permission to use her works on my pages and I will continue to feature her words on pages from time to time.
