Encouraging Words

The financial news of today is bad. Folks are worried about almost everything and every day we hear news that is worse and still have not heard that much of this crisis and its challenges are anywhere near an end. This piece serves to remind me and all of us that there is good news - eternal good news that cannot be twisted, changed, nor touched. It is that Jesus lives and is seated at the right hand of God listening to our pleas in prayer, watching over us and making intercession with our Heavenly Father for us from the moment we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. He is alive. He is not some lifeless idol and He is concerned about every single thing to do with our lives. He cares if we have lost something. He knows where it is, or how to help us. (Just remember that when money was needed to pay taxes and His disciple Peter was concerned about that, Jesus knew where a coin in just the right amount was - in the mouth of a fish, The Holy Bible, the book of Matthew, chapter 17 verses 24 through 27!) Now He knows where everything is, its rightful owner, He knows the hidden things such as who or what caused serious problems and how to repair or replace anything. He is the Creator and He made all of it.

Our concern, then, is to make sure that we praise Him, thank Him and study The Holy Bible (By the way when I grew up it was called The Holy Bible and whether you always said The Holy or not, Bible was always capitalized. Just simple little things like that can toy with the importance of Holy things. His Name was always capitalized whether referred to as Father, Heavenly Father or any of His glorious names. It is not about a law of man, but about honor and respect for our Heavenly Father, His Only Son and His Word.). So, let us first consider the Holiness of our God and the Holiness of His Word to us, the Holy Bible and the Holiness of His Church here on earth and set it in caps in our writings and on high in our lives as a witness that He always has the answer, the right answer. Then, let us approach Him in all humility, praising Him, thanking Him and beseeching Him for His watching care over us and all that He has allowed us to own here on this earth.

I pray for strength, His provisions, a way to live each day, for health for our families, for safety for our children and grand-children and for everyone in need. Remember His command to us, "Be still and know that I am God", Psalm 46:10. Find a quiet place, let go of all work and concerns for a while and listen for His, still small voice. Be with Him alone. No matter how bad things get, we know how it will all turn out for those of us who know Him and serve Him. His Story always has a happy, indeed glorious ending.

I am praying for all of you and your individual concerns. I pray for those who are responsible to get things worked out and that in their hearts and minds that the wisdom of the Lord will prevail.
