
God wants to plant the seed of His Word in the soil of our
lives,
but the amount of harvest all depends on the condition of the heart..
Jesus said,"Feed My Sheep." John 21:17
APPLE CAKE IN A JAR
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Coat 8 pint-size jar wide mouth canning jar with cooking spray.
In a small bowl, mix together and set aside:
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder
In a large bowl, mix together:
2/3 cup shortening
2 2/3 cup sugur
4 eggs

Add to the large bowl 2/3 cup of water and beat well.
Slowly add flour mixture from the small bowl,
1/2 cup at a time and mix well.

Sitr in 3 cups of peeled and grated apples.
Stir in:
2/3 cup raisins and
2/3 cup chopped nuts.

Fill each pre-sprayed wide mouth jar with 1 cup of cake batter.
Bake on a cookie sheet on bottom rack for 45 minutes.

Remove from oven one jar at a time.
Seal each jar with hot lid and ring.

Cover the lid with a circle of fabric the size of a salad
plate and tie with a ribbon.
Use a tag to remind the recipient that they are the apple of God's eye..
These will stay fresh in the jar for up to three weeks.
These are very fine gifts.
