RAGS TO RICHES"

Synopsis
Visit
any city whether it
is large or small you
will find the homeless.
Why are they there and
who are these people?
They come from all walks
of life. They could
be attorneys, doctors,
professors, highly educated,
ministers, even successful
businessmen or women.
Who have fallen from
riches to rags.
The
author William (Bill)
Taylor , after having
a dream of seeing such
a one sleeping under
wreck car hoods near
a junk yard. Seeing
this person get up and
cross a parking lot
and begins to dig in
a dumpster in search
for food, when the owner
of the restaurant brings
him a plate of food.
This inspired the author
to create a character.
To walk in his shadow
as he brings him from
Riches to Rags and Rags
to Riches. It is an
inspiring story.
William
Taylor, better known
as Bill Taylor, pastor,
evangelist, writer,
and soul winner for
over 50 years reveals
his passion of seeing
people being brought
to Christ for salvation.
Having seen thousands
come to Christ through
his ministry. He and
his wife, Eva, have
celebrated 60 years
of marriage, the parents
of two daughters, four
grand children and two
great grand children.
Bill was born in Cherokee
County Georgia and received
his education from the
public schools of Georgia
and his theological
education from Southeastern
Baptist Seminary, Wake
Forest, North Carolina.
He and his wife now
live in Wingate, NC.
A
Personal Note about
"Preacher Bill"
I
have known William (Bill)
Taylor, more lovingly
known as Preacher Bill,
since childhood. He
grew up in a Christian
family. His mother saw
that her children attended
church and meted out
some tough discipline.
His father Egbert Taylor
was a hard working farmer,
a gentle, loving man.
He directed the singing
in church for services
and revivals while his
brother Ed Taylor played
the piano. Bill learned
early the simple gospel
of John 3:16. Even before
his call to preach,
the Lord was preparing
him. Bill had many experiences
running his own businesses,
playing baseball and
basketball. By the time
he surrendered to the
call to preach, he had
a good grasp on ordinary
people, their everyday
foibles, sins, trials
and life in this world.
God has worked through
all of Bill's experiences
to reach people on all
levels, right where
they are, and to lead
them to Jesus. He is
a gifted soul winner,
preacher, teacher and
writer. His mind is
always working overtime
on the next good way
to tell people about
Jesus, our Savior and
Lord. Indeed he is a
walking encyclopedia
of life with God. He
is a national treasure
waiting to be found.
In
his first book FROM
RICHES TO RAGS and FROM
RAGS TO RICHES, his
years of preaching a
sermon in a certain
length of time is no
more evident than in
the efficient, concise
and bare bones way of
telling the wonderful
story, once again, of
how the Lord can work
in a life to bring about
the very best that there
can be for any individual.
He does not lose us
in needless details,
but uses our time wisely
being careful to help
us understand Jimmy
as a person, how he
came to be the way he
was and how the Lord
worked through various
circumstances to bring
him to the best that
he was to become. What
a journey it is for
Jimmy as he goes from
riches to rags in order
for him to learn just
how rich and blessed
he had been and to bring
him from the bottom
of the proverbial barrel
back to more riches
and greater blessings
than ever before once
he found the core of
what is true success
- to give his heart
and life totally to
the Lord for His service
in telling others what
the Lord can do. You
cannot put the book
down till you have finished
it. Once you find out
the circumstances, you
have to read to the
end and yes, unlike
many dark and forbidding
books written today,
this one has a marvelous,
beautiful ending and
it is very entertaining
to the last words. He
paid close attention
to a dream. It is apparent
that the Lord gave it
to him for inspiration.
Preacher Bill would
not let it go till he
had it in a form whereby
he could easily share
it.
