Some years times are very
hard
Some years are are easier
Some years teem with sadness
Some are happy to overflowing.
But every year is filled
with joy
As we think what could have been,
If our dear Heavenly Father
Had not made a way to forgive our sin.

Crib full of corn; potatoes
in the shed
Silo and barn brim with grains and hay
Freezers packed with the new crop
Pantry shelves hold jars to the very top
At harvest time we see
evidence
Of His great blessings - bales of hay
Fields of stubble after the harvests
Dishevelled scarecrows mock the birds.

There is always that thanks-filled
joy
As the Lord reached to harvest our souls
From the fertile fields of this world,
Harvest reminds us to thank our God.
So let's laugh with joy,
praise Him always
Reap His peace, His love and His care
He planted for us to harvest with joy
In every hour whether it be happy or sad.

Spread the table cloths,
stack the plates
Lay out the forks and spoons
Dish out the food from pans on the stove
Bring the platter with the bird.
Serve the breads, dressing
and trimmin's
With joy the family and friends gather
Sharing the joy of Thanksgiving
To honor God for all that He has provided.
