On
a winter's crisp November morning
And
the leaves are falling to the ground
The
fog hovers over the meadow
The
sounds of wild life all around

A
gentle breeze blows across my face
An
early morning mist I do embrace
The
day Of Thanksgiving is at hand
We
are blessed to live in this land

The aroma of roasted
turkey fills the air
All pies have been
baked, set out in pairs
Stuffing with chestnuts,
cranberries sauce,
Candied Yams, peas,
and salad tossed

We'll be blessed
with family and friends
A big big spread,
Yes that's the trend
When dinner is over,
we're all stretched out
Me in my chair and
Maw on the couch

I'll bless this
day, in a land to be free
Thank the men fighting
for you and me
Praying soon they
all be home to stay
Never forgetting
God gave us this day
