Anyone acquainted with Ireland knows that the morning of St. Patrick's Day consists of the night of the seventeenth of March flavored strongly with the morning of the eighteenth.

Irish Blessings

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.

May luck be your companion
May friends stand by our side
May history remind us all
Of Ireland's faith and pride.
May God bless us with happiness
May love and faith abide.

May your pockets be heavy
And your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you
Each morning and night.

For each petal on the shamrock
This brings a wish your way
Good health, good luck, and happiness
For today and every day.

Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter
Lullabies, dreams, and love ever after.
Poems and songs with pipes and drums
A thousand welcomes when anyone comes.

May the road rise up to meet you
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;

May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;

May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

And, may you always walk in Peace and Beauty.

St. Paddy's day is almost here,
And Seamus will lead us in song.
As we all lift our glasses high,
in a celebration of this throng.

Top o' the mornin' starts the day,
as everyone tries to join in.
Colleen smiles while step dancing
with an occasional little spin.

In a lot of our big cities,
parades fill the streets.
The bands are playing loudly
or the people in their seats.

In Chicago they dye the river
in a shade of Kelly green.
In a little pub down the road
a musician plays Skibbereen.

St. Paddy's Day is almost upon us,
as we celebrate in different ways.
While some people are truly Irish,
others just join in the craze.

Just what is the Luck of the Irish,
that makes people mention it?
Could it be for a common good,
or just some fancy whit?

Has it come from vast experience,
or a dream that they all share,
Could their luck be so grand,
that nothing else can compare?

The luck of the Irish,
has been around for awhile.
Each time you use that phrase,
it seems to bring a smile.

This makes me wonder if,
by using this single phrase.
It makes people much more happy
as it brightens up their days.
