Once on an old hill

Called Golgotha

Jesus made a stand

For all humanity

Tho' Satan must have thought

The war won and over

Since Jesus was now hanging

Upon that tree

But at the moment Jesus died

Ten-thousand holy angels cried

As He shed His blood

For our iniquity

And as the Father turned away

The life of Jesus slipped away

To claim victory

For you and me

Eternal life is here

Now for the asking

Now Satan doesn't have

The final say

Death and Hell

No longer hold dominion

For upon that cross

Jesus took their power away
