I wish I could sit and talk
with Jesus
Since it's Christmas time again
So I could ask about His miraculous
birth
Behind the inn at Bethlehem
There's
so many things I ponder
As the years accumulate
And I read the Biblical account
I sit and contemplate
If I could only talk with Jesus
On this Holy night

Did You name the star of Bethlehem
that shone so bright?
And did You help decide the
Virgin Mary
would be the one to give You birth?
Was it warm enough in the manger
when You were born on earth?
Did leaving the glories of Heaven
make Your heart grieve?

And did You know ahead of time
that You would have to leave?
Were You a baby up in heaven
or were You God's fully grown Son
When the creation of the universe
as we know it was begun?

Did our Father up in Heaven
smile with contentment too
As the multitude of angels sang "Glory to God,"
for You?

Did He long to hold You in His
arms
When Joseph held You first instead?

When did You know You'd be our
sacrifice
With Your precious arms outspread?

As I drew aside this Christmas
season, I realized anew
That these questions need no answers because
I truly do love You.
For I believe You left the portals
of Heaven far behind
Condescending to birth in human form to give
Your life for mankind.
I believe You're the second
Person of the Trinity
And had a mission to fulfill, so we could be
redeemed

As You obeyed Your Father's
will
And I'm convinced the time is fast approaching
When we'll behold Your face
and every knee
Shall finally bow acknowledging Your Deity and
grace.
And as I read the Christmas
story to my family once again,
They'll see You're not just the Holy Christ
Child

But the Reigning King of all
men.

So Lord Jesus, I'll be thanking
You
For blessing me and mine all year,
And continue glorifying You
As Christmas Day draws near.
For I find I cannot share this
day with gifts and love of family
Until I first give thanks to You again for giving
Yourself for me.

of Praise and Thanks From Dorothea
Revelation 11:17
"We give thee thanks, O LORD
God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to
come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great
power, and hast reigned." Sharing with you my
gratefulness for the miraculous birth of our
Savior, Jesus Christ, the Lord.
As I humbly thank Him for giving
us another Christmas season to share with family
and friends, I'll also thank Him for creating
you, for you are a precious part of my life.
May peace and joy be yours as His grace continues
to bless us. Have a Blessed Christmas!
