HAPPY
MOTHER'S DAY!
God
bless all our dear Mothers!! In
ancient Israel, the mother of
the home was regarded as the one
who molded the tender babes with
love and hovering care (as our
Lord said He cares for us) in
order to prepare the child for
the father's instruction. A bond
with and a love for the child
is an inborn gift that God gave
to Mothers. We must never forget
to honor and love them.
This is
a message to all the sisters and
brothers in the Lord who have
visited my websites and prayed
for us when we needed prayer,
supported us with your love and
letters, and have been such an
important part of our lives.
While my
web sites and social life have
suffered this past year and will
possibly take a long time to recover,
I can gladly say that the Lord
has been working in me. It's been
a period of soul searching and
trials. I believe that our heavenly
Father sometimes needs to strip
us of a lot of things that we
pick up along our journey to Him
that are not necessary and can
be hurtful.
The cry
of my heart is now ... "Lord I
want to know you better and experience
Your love as never before! And
feel Your protective arms around
me!"
I've been
taken back to the picture I saw
one day in Vacation Bible School
of Jesus, the Shepherd, walking
down a winding path in the woods
with a lamb in His arms and a
flock following Him. That's the
Jesus I loved from that moment
on and that's the Shepherd I want
to trust in and lean on with all
my heart. I'm desiring renewal
of that love and devotion and
since I believe the Word is true,
I know He draws near to those
who draw near to Him. I'm more
hopeful lately than I've been
in a long time.
In our
culture and in this day and age,
we have so much and we take so
much for granted. There's so much
more to belonging to the Lord.
I'm afraid we've become a lukewarm
group in general. We worry so
much about doctrine, what church
to belong to, what to do, what
not to do ... etc. that I feel
we're missing the true meaning
of being God's children and our
place in His family. It's my prayer
that we all, as believers, have
our spiritual eyes opened to see
our Father, really see Him!
I'm not
going to plunge in full steam
ahead on my sites. I've got to
take small steps and keep my priorities
right. However, I will be doing
new pages as I can and new Bible
lessons as the Lord leads. I will
do my best to keep the sites up.
I hope
everyone will understand that
I won't be writing many personal
e-mails. We now have the online
store which our family opened
to help supplement the website
and music ministry. I have 3 albums
I started over a year ago and
was not able to complete. I intend
to start on them again soon. My
music room is ready and although
I've made several attempts to
get back into that, I believe
that the other issues in my life
had to be resolved first. That's
why I was never able to get going
on the Bible Lessons or the recording
of my albums.
Our love
to all! May God bless you throughout
this New Year of 2007!
Love in
Jesus, Genelle and family
