is the day that the Lord has made!"
We're
hoping for a white Christmas to go
along with the frigid tempatures we've
had lately. One morning it was only
12 degrees outside. Brrrr! But, no
matter whether it's snowing or not,
we'll be together as a family and
that's what really matters to us.
We're all in pretty good health and
Stan's cancer is behind us, in remission.
We have so much to be thankful for
... and of course, the very most important
thing is the celebration of the Birth
of our Savior! Among all the holiday
fun and traditions, let us not forget
that this is what the holiday is all
about. Thank You Father, for the Ultimate
Gift ... Jesus, Messiah, the Christ,
Savior!
We
see how things are developing in our
government in the way of economics
and social agendas. I fear for the
preservation of our constitution,
one of the main things that makes
America unique and attests to the
fact that we began as a Christian
nation. Many of us believe we could
be danger of losing our basic freedoms.
We must all be diligent and keep watch.
We need to pray for our leaders in
this great country, for God's wisdom
and patience as we begin to learn
to stand up for what is good and right.
We
also need to repent and turn from
our own self interests and draw closer
to the Lord. The days to come may
be perilous for believers. The Bible
warned of the trials and testing in
the last days. We believe we may be
living in those last days, and spiritual
strength and faith is so needed. We
need to persevere, holding each other
up in prayer and support, in love.
We
hope you've been enjoying the new
